DINING EXCELLENCE ACKNOWLEDGED BY INDUSTRY

The Annual Awards for Excellence for Restaurant & Catering SA was held last night at a glamourous event at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
More than 1000 guests ate, drank and danced the night away and celebrated the high quality restaurants, caterers and hospitality professionals that South Australia has to offer.

Auge Ristorante was awarded the Restaurant Of the Year award, as well as the Best Italian Restaurant award, having received the highest score overall. National Wine Centre of Australia Centre received the Best Caterer award as well as the Best Function Centre Award.

The Individual Hall of Fame award was won by Amabile Ambrosini from Ambrosini’s Restaurant for his lonstanding reputation for Italian food to Adelaide, and their family’s contribution to the multicultural cuisine of Adelaide.

The Hall of Fame inductees for the Themed Restaurant category was won by Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant. This business has won this award for three consecutive years so they are recognised with this prestigious honour.

The Restaurant & Catering Australia, Fine Wine Partners and Henschke Lifetime Achiever Prize was awarded to Cheong Liew from Hilton Adelaide for his contribution to South Australia’s culinary culture.
