Restaurant & Catering Australia is pursuing an environmental certification program known as Green Table Australia. Green Table Australia will be used to encourage businesses in the restaurant and catering industry to rduce their carbon emissions and general impact on the environment. The program will enable businesses to meet minimum requirements in the area of water and energy savings, waste management and supplies. The program will set these requirements so that as many as possible of the industry's small businesses can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability.
