Less than 6 weeks to go to SA’s Bag Ban!
South Australia’s break-through Plastic Bag ban hits all stores on the 4th of May 2009, less than 6 weeks away! From this date, all thin (less than 35 micron) plastic bag with handles will be banned outright. Make sure you’re ready by ordering in an alternate bag. There are a range of options available under the legislation:
* Paper Bags
* Certified Compostable Bags
* “Green” Non-Woven Bags
* Barrier Bags (fruit & veg bags)
* Thicker plastic bags (higher than 35 micron)
Remember that Paper Bags, unlike Compostable and “Green” Bags, are fully kerbside recyclable. They can also be re-used several times, can be expertly custom-printed, will hold up to 10kg of weight and are perfect for takeaway outlets and restaurants.
